Meet The Family

After 4 previous owners, the La Tosca business was purchased by John Algeri and his family in 2016.

 

John had a vision to build a manufacturing facility that would produce high quality products with quality ingredients, all on the best equipment with the best team.


It was crucial that the products offered value to the consumer so that they would be able to afford a quality range of products to eat with their family and friends each and every week.

 

When John purchased the La Tosca the business, it was located in a small factory in Thomastown. This factory was 300 square feet in size and fitted with very old and outdated machinery.

Since then, the Algeri family have put in extensive hard work and major capital investment to upgrade their factory several times, which is now 11 x the original size and located in Brunswick. They have also invested heavily in purchasing the latest new machinery, which was sourced from Italy to create the variety of authentic pasta that they make today.

 

At the beginning of the new purchase, the Algeri’s had just 4 products in 50 stores. Since then, they have expanded tremendously to 11 retail products in thousands of stores across the country with national representation and distributors in each state.

We pride ourselves on being a family business. However La Tosca is not just made up of the Algeri’s, our family includes all of our staff, distributors and especially our consumers. At La Tosca, we strive to continuously better ourselves and our business in every way that we can, while maintaining and upholding our standards of delicious restaurant quality pasta to be served in your home at an affordable price.
